Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S rood 7,5 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Red 7.5 m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable built for stable high-speed data transmission in home and professional networks. With Cat7 performance and S/FTP construction it provides improved protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while RJ-45 connectors with gold plating ensure reliable contact and corrosion resistance. The red jacket offers clear visual identification in multi-cable installations and a durable outer sheath suitable for regular installation and rearrangement.

Advantages

The S/FTP design combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded twisted pairs to reduce external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, supporting consistent throughput at higher frequencies. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve connector longevity and contact quality. A 7.5 m length provides flexibility for connecting devices across rooms or between racks without excess slack. The cable is compatible with standard Ethernet hardware that accepts RJ-45 Cat7 cabling.

Suitable for

• High-speed wired connections for PCs, NAS, game consoles and media players
• Patch cabling in home offices and small server rooms
• Environments with multiple nearby cables or potential EMI sources
• Visible or color-coded installations where a red cable aids identification

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall foil + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 7.5 m
• Jacket color: Red
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper conductors

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of your router, switch or modem and the other plug to the network port of your device. Ensure plugs are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and tight kinks; maintain gentle bend radii to preserve signal integrity. For permanent installations, verify port speed and duplex settings on connected devices to ensure desired performance.

Recommendations

When installing, keep the cable separated from high-voltage power lines and strong EMI sources where possible. For best results in demanding network environments, use Cat7 cabling with compatible patch panels and switches that support the required speeds and frequencies. Periodically inspect connectors for wear and replace the cable if the jacket or contacts are damaged.
