Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-22015 0.5m Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-22015 0.5m Cat6 U/UTP networking cable is a short patch cable designed for reliable high-speed connections in compact setups. This black Cat6 cable supports gigabit data rates and uses RJ-45 connectors with gold plating to maintain stable contact and resist corrosion. With U/UTP construction, it provides an unshielded twisted pair core inside an unshielded outer jacket suitable for typical office and home network environments where minimal cable length is required.

Advantages

The cable delivers 1000 Mbit/s performance over Cat6 wiring and is well suited for short-distance patching between switches, routers and network devices. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs reduce contact resistance and improve long-term connectivity. The compact 0.5 m length minimizes clutter, reduces signal loss caused by unnecessary cable slack, and fits neatly behind workstations and in server racks with limited space.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops and network devices to nearby switches or routers
• Patching between network ports in rack cabinets or patch panels
• Use in small office or home office (SOHO) setups where short cables are required
• Temporary or permanent connections where tidy cable management is needed

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded overall, unshielded twisted pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Rated data transfer: up to 1000 Mbit/s (gigabit Ethernet)
• Color: black

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 plugs firmly into the Ethernet ports of your devices until the latch clicks into place. Use this 0.5 m cable to create short, direct links between equipment such as a computer and switch, or between adjacent patch panel ports. Avoid bending the cable sharply near the connector and ensure connectors are fully engaged for best signal quality. For removal, depress the latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the plug.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep this Cat6 cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference such as unshielded power lines and large transformers. Use in environments where a short, tidy connection is required; if longer runs are needed, choose an appropriately rated Cat6 cable of adequate length.
