Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-22055 5m Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-22055 5m Cat6 U/UTP networking cable is designed to provide reliable wired Ethernet connectivity for home and office environments. This 5-meter cable uses Category 6 specifications with U/UTP (unshielded overall with unshielded twisted pairs) construction to maintain consistent signal quality while fitting common networking setups. Fitted with standard RJ-45 plugs and gold-plated contacts, it supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds up to 1000 Mbit/s and is suitable for connecting routers, switches, modems, network cards, and patch panels.

Advantages

The cable’s Cat6 specification ensures improved performance compared with lower category cables, delivering higher bandwidth and reduced crosstalk across paired conductors. Gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 plugs enhance conductivity and resist corrosion for dependable long-term connections. The U/UTP design balances cost and performance by providing an overall unshielded cable that meets common installation needs while remaining flexible and easy to route. A 5-meter length covers typical room-to-equipment distances without excess slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops, and network printers to a router or switch
• Linking network switches and patch panels within a home or small office rack
• Establishing wired connections for streaming devices, smart TVs, and game consoles
• Temporary or semi-permanent office cabling where a 5 m length is appropriate

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Length: 5 meters
• Shielding: U/UTP (overall unshielded, unshielded twisted pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Maximum supported speed: up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Color: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the Ethernet port of your router, switch, modem, or network device and the other end to the device you wish to network. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click for proper contact. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and high-traffic areas to prevent mechanical stress. For best performance, keep the cable separated from sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible.

Recommendations

For stable Gigabit connections, use this cable for end-to-end links between network devices where Cat6 performance is required; when running multiple cables in parallel near electrical equipment, maintain physical separation to reduce potential interference.
