Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-22070 10m Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-22070 10m Cat6 U/UTP networking cable provides a straightforward wired connection for Ethernet networks supporting up to 1000 Mbit/s. The cable uses Cat6 twisted-pair construction without an overall shield (U/UTP) and terminates in RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts. The grey jacket and 10 meter length make it suitable for linking devices across rooms in homes, small offices, or media setups where stable, low-latency wired connectivity is required.

Advantages

This Cat6 U/UTP cable supports gigabit Ethernet speeds and delivers consistent signal performance over its 10 m length. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve corrosion resistance and contact reliability. The U/UTP design reduces crosstalk between pairs through internal twisting while keeping the cable flexible and easy to route. The neutral grey jacket blends into typical interior environments and simplifies cable management.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops, and network switches for gigabit LAN
• Linking routers or modems to networked devices in home or small office setups
• Wiring smart TVs, game consoles, and streaming devices for stable media playback
• Temporary or semi-permanent cabling in meeting rooms, conference spaces, or classrooms

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 (suitable for Gigabit Ethernet)
• Topology: U/UTP (unshielded overall, unshielded twisted pairs)
• Nominal data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 10 m
• Color: grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network port of your device (PC, switch, router, or modem) and the other end to the corresponding port on the network equipment. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish reliable contact. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and high-interference sources such as large electric motors or fluorescent lighting to maintain signal integrity. For wall-mounted equipment, allow slack and secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable ties to prevent tension on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6 cable for gigabit LAN connections at distances up to 10 meters. Avoid running the cable parallel and close to power lines to reduce electromagnetic interference. If higher shielding or support for 10 Gbit/s over longer distances is required, consider a shielded Cat6a or higher category cable.
