Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-26085 zwart 15m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-26085 Black 15m Cat6a S/FTP is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for demanding wired networks. Constructed to Cat6a standards with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, this 15-metre cable supports reliable high-speed data transfer and reduced electromagnetic interference. Its black jacket offers a discrete appearance suitable for visible installations in homes, offices, and technical rooms.

Advantages

This Cat6a S/FTP cable provides enhanced noise immunity through foil and braided shielding around individual pairs and the overall cable, improving signal integrity in environments with potential interference. The gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure consistent contact quality and reduced oxidation over time. The 15 m length offers flexibility for placement of networking equipment without introducing unnecessarily long cable runs.

Suitable for

• Wired connections between routers, switches and computers in home or office networks
• High-bandwidth applications such as HD video streaming, online gaming, and large file transfers
• Structured cabling runs in equipment racks and patch panels where Cat6a performance is required
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference where S/FTP shielding improves stability

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid plus foil on individual pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 15 m
• Color: Black
• Supported data rates: up to 10 Gbps over appropriate distances
• Impedance: 100 Ω (nominal)

How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the RJ-45 port on your network device and the other end to the corresponding port on the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a stable connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain minimum bend radius typical for Ethernet cabling to preserve signal quality. For best results, avoid running the cable parallel and close to mains power lines or heavy electrical equipment.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6a S/FTP cable within structured network layouts and pair it with compliant network equipment capable of 10 Gbps operation when required. In installations with significant EMI sources, combine proper cable routing and grounding of network hardware to maximise the shielding benefits.
