Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-26485 zwart 30 m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-26485 Black 30m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for demanding wired network environments. Built to Cat6a specifications with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, this 30-meter cable supports high-speed data transmission with reduced crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. The black outer jacket provides a discreet, professional appearance suitable for visible installations in offices, server rooms, and residential setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to minimize alien crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, improving signal integrity at higher frequencies. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors increase contact reliability and reduce oxidation over time, ensuring consistent connectivity. The Cat6a standard enables support for higher bandwidths and 10 Gigabit Ethernet at appropriate distances, while the 30 m length offers flexibility for medium-range cabling runs without the need for additional patch panels or extensions.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in office networks and data centers
• High-speed internet connections for streaming, gaming, and large file transfers
• Structured cabling between switches, routers, patch panels, and workstations
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 30 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Color: Black
• Supported bandwidth: up to 500 MHz (Cat6a typical performance)

How to use

Route the cable between network devices ensuring gentle bends and avoiding sharp kinks to maintain performance. Terminate the RJ-45 connectors into compatible ports on switches, routers, network interface cards, or patch panels. When installing in areas with multiple cables, maintain separation from high-voltage power lines and heavy machinery to reduce potential interference. For wall or cabinet installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management accessories without compressing the shielding or jacket.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6a S/FTP cable in structured cabling that adheres to industry installation practices: maintain bend radius greater than four times the cable diameter, avoid tight bundling with unshielded power cables, and test connections with a certified network tester after installation. For runs longer than 30 m within a structured network, consider linking through properly rated patch panels or switches to preserve bandwidth and signal quality.
