Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-26605

The ShiverPeaks BS08-26605 is a 60 m Cat6a networking cable designed for high-speed wired connections. It features S/FTP shielding that reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and comes terminated with RJ-45 connectors plated with gold to improve contact reliability and conductivity. The cable's black jacket provides a discreet appearance suitable for residential and professional environments where stable Ethernet performance is required.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding around each pair and an overall foil shield provides improved noise rejection compared with unshielded cables, supporting clearer signal transmission over longer distances. The Cat6a specification enables higher bandwidth and better performance for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links in appropriate network setups. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts help maintain low contact resistance and corrosion resistance over time, ensuring consistent connectivity. A 60 m length reduces the need for intermediate patching or additional extensions in many installations.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links and high-bandwidth LAN connections
• Office networks, server rooms, and structured cabling runs
• Home networks requiring stable wired internet for streaming and gaming
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (individual foil around pairs with overall braid/foil)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 60 m
• Color: Black

How to use

Route the cable along the planned pathway, avoiding sharp bends and proximity to high-voltage power lines to minimize interference. Terminate each end into compatible RJ-45 ports on network devices, switches, or patch panels, ensuring connectors are fully inserted until a positive click is felt. When installing in permanent or structured cabling, use appropriate cable management such as clips, ties, or trunking and maintain the cable's bend radius as recommended for Cat6a cable to preserve performance.

Recommendations

For best results, use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for links up to 60 m without in-line extenders. In environments with strong electrical noise, verify shielding continuity through properly grounded patch panels or connectors. Avoid kinking the cable and keep it away from sources of heat or repeated compression to prolong service life.
