Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-35001 0,25 m Cat7 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-35001 0.25m Cat7 U/UTP networking cable is a short-length Ethernet patch cord intended for high-speed network links where minimal cable slack is required. It features U/UTP shielding, RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts and supports up to 10,000 Mbit/s data transfer, suitable for fast LAN connections and short interconnects in structured cabling installations. The cable is finished in blue and designed for reliable signal transmission in environments that benefit from improved pair-level containment.

Advantages

This Cat7 U/UTP cable provides high data throughput up to 10 Gbit/s and low contact resistance due to gold-plated RJ-45 contacts, ensuring stable connections. The short 0.25 m length reduces clutter and signal degradation in rack-mounted or desktop setups. U/UTP shielding helps limit near-end crosstalk and external interference compared with unshielded alternatives, improving performance in dense cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Short connections between patch panels and switches in server racks
• Connecting network devices on desktops where minimal cable length is needed
• High-speed LAN segments requiring Cat7 performance and reduced interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding type: U/UTP (overall unshielded with pair-level shielding)
• Length: 0.25 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Maximum data rate: 10,000 Mbit/s
• Color: Blue

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network device or switch port and the other connector into the corresponding patch panel or NIC port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Use this 0.25 m cable for short patching runs where a compact, direct link is required; avoid bending the cable sharply near the connector to maintain contact integrity and shielding performance.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use the cable in short interconnects within racks or workstations and avoid running it parallel to high-voltage power cables. Verify port compatibility and network configuration to ensure Cat7 performance; where longer runs are necessary, select appropriately rated cable lengths to preserve signal integrity.
