Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-35030 grijs 2m Cat7 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-35030 Grey 2m Cat7 U/UTP networking cable provides a reliable wired connection for high-speed data transfer up to 10000 Mbit/s. Engineered for modern networks, this 2‑metre cable uses Cat7 specification wiring with U/UTP shielding to reduce external electromagnetic interference. It is fitted with gold-plated RJ‑45 connectors to ensure consistent contact quality and corrosion resistance, and its neutral grey jacket suits both home and office environments.

Advantages

This Cat7 cable supports multi-gigabit speeds and is suitable for demanding network applications where stable throughput is important. The U/UTP construction offers protection against crosstalk and external noise without adding bulky overall shielding, keeping the cable flexible for routing. Gold-plated RJ‑45 plugs enhance signal reliability and longevity by reducing oxidation at the connector interface. The 2 m length provides a balance between reach and minimal signal degradation in typical desktop and rack setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches and routers in home or small office networks
• High-bandwidth applications such as 4K/8K streaming and online gaming
• Multi-gigabit network segments requiring up to 10 Gbit/s performance
• Structured cabling in server rooms or network racks where short runs are needed

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Length: 2 m
• Shielding: U/UTP (unscreened individual pairs, unshielded overall)
• Maximum data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s (10 Gbit/s)
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Jacket colour: grey

How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the RJ‑45 port of your device (PC, switch, router or network interface) and the other end to the corresponding port on the network equipment. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable; maintain a gentle bend radius and route away from high-voltage power lines where possible to minimise interference.

Recommendations

For optimal results in multi-gigabit setups, pair the cable with compatible Cat7 or Cat6A ports and keep cable runs within recommended lengths for 10 Gbit/s operation. Regularly inspect connector contacts and replace the cable if physical damage or significant wear is observed.
