Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-40061

The ShiverPeaks BS08-40061 is a 7.5 m Cat8 networking cable designed for high-speed wired connections. It features S/FTP shielding (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs) to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, and RJ-45 connectors with gold plating to improve conductivity and resist corrosion. The cable's blue jacket provides a visually distinct finish suitable for home or office installations and structured cabling environments.

Advantages

This Cat8 cable supports elevated bandwidth and lower latency compared with lower category cables thanks to Category 8 specifications and shielding. S/FTP construction enhances signal integrity in electrically noisy environments, and gold‑plated RJ-45 contacts help ensure reliable contact and long-term durability. The 7.5 m length gives flexibility for connecting devices across rooms or within rack-mounted setups while maintaining a single continuous cable run.

Suitable for

• High-speed internet connections and gigabit or multi-gigabit local networks
• Data center uplinks and server-to-switch connections
• Home office setups requiring low-latency wired links
• Audio‑visual streaming, online gaming, and video conferencing

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat8 for up to multi-gigabit transmission
• Length: 7.5 metres
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Jacket colour: Blue

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet ports of your devices (for example, router, switch, modem or network card). Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and reduce exposure to strong electromagnetic sources (such as large transformers or high-power motors) to preserve signal quality. For permanent installations, use appropriate cable management and strain relief to prevent stress on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use the cable where shielded performance is required or where network equipment supports higher category cabling. When running alongside power lines or in high-interference areas, S/FTP shielding will help maintain throughput. Verify that connected devices and network infrastructure support multi-gigabit speeds to take full advantage of Cat8 capabilities.
