Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41005 0,25 m Cat8 F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41005 0.25m Cat8 F/FTP networking cable is a short patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in dense network setups. With Cat8 performance and F/FTP shielding, the cable supports elevated bandwidth and reduces external electromagnetic interference. The cable terminates in RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain consistent conductivity and minimize contact corrosion over time. Its compact 0.25 m length makes it suitable for connecting adjacent ports in server racks, switches, or network devices where cable management and minimized latency are priorities.

Advantages

Cat8 classification provides high-frequency capability for modern networks, while the F/FTP construction (foil overall with individually shielded twisted pairs) enhances protection against crosstalk and external noise. Short length lowers signal attenuation and helps preserve maximum throughput between closely located devices. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure reliable electrical contact and long-term resistance to oxidation. The cable's flexible jacket and compact form factor simplify routing in tight spaces and improve cable organisation in racks and patch panels.

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat8
• Length: 0.25 m
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Black
• Typical applications: High-speed Ethernet links, short patch connections

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the source device (for example, a switch or server) and the other end to the destination device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully seated until you hear or feel the latch engage. Avoid sharp bends at the connector ends and do not overstress the cable by pulling from the cable jacket; handle by the connector body when inserting or removing. For reliable performance, keep the cable length appropriate for the layout and avoid bundling with high-power cables where possible.

Recommendations

Use this short Cat8 F/FTP cable for interconnections where maximum bandwidth and minimal interference are required over very short distances, such as within server racks or between adjacent switch ports. For runs requiring longer distances or different bend-flex characteristics, select an appropriately rated Cat cable and ensure consistent shielding continuity at termination points.
