Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41031 blauw 2m Cat8.1 F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41031 Blue 2m Cat8.1 F/FTP networking cable is designed for high-speed wired connections in professional and home environments. Compliant with the Cat8.1 specification and constructed with F/FTP shielding, this 2-metre cable supports data transfer rates up to 40000 Mbit/s and is fitted with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold plating for reliable signal transmission and corrosion resistance. The cable's blue jacket provides easy visual identification in multi-cable installations.

Advantages

F/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity over short- and medium-length runs. The Cat8.1 standard enables very high bandwidths suitable for data-intensive tasks. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance contact quality and durability, while the 2 m length offers a balance between reach and neat cable management. The cable's construction is intended for use in structured cabling, server rooms, workstations and advanced home networks.

Suitable for

• 10/25/40 Gbit/s Ethernet links over short to medium distances
• High-performance network switches, patch panels and routers
• Server connections and rack-to-rack links in data centres
• Workstation connections where low latency and high throughput are required
• Home offices and media streaming setups demanding high bandwidth

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1 (augmented cable for high-frequency transmission)
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 2 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Maximum data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Color: blue

How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the RJ-45 port of your network device and the other end to the corresponding port on the switch, router or server. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and latched to maintain a secure physical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference for optimal performance. For rack installations, use appropriate cable management to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short to medium-length high-bandwidth connections in controlled environments. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures or mechanical stress. For longer runs, consult network design guidelines to select suitable cabling types and topologies.
