Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41051-2 5m Cat8.1 F/FTP blauw

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41051-2 5m Cat8.1 F/FTP Blue is a high-performance networking cable designed for demanding local network and data center connections. Compliant with Cat8.1 specification, the cable supports multi-gigabit and 10 Gigabit+ transmissions over short distances and uses F/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference. The cable is terminated with standard RJ-45 connectors for compatibility with common switches, routers and patch panels, and its 5 meter length offers flexibility for rack-to-desk or equipment-to-equipment links while keeping installations tidy.

Advantages

The F/FTP design pairs an overall foil shield with individually shielded twisted pairs to provide enhanced protection against crosstalk and external noise, which improves signal integrity in crowded cable environments. Cat8.1 performance enables higher bandwidth and lower latency compared with earlier categories, making the cable suitable for modern network equipment. The RJ-45 connector ensures straightforward compatibility with widely used network ports. The blue jacket provides easy visual identification in multi-cable installations.

Suitable for

• Copper Ethernet links within data centers and server rooms where short high-bandwidth runs are required
• High-speed workstation connections to switches and patch panels
• Home networks seeking improved performance for streaming, gaming and large file transfers
• Office environments with dense cable runs where shielding improves reliability

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Length: 5 m
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Blue jacket

How to use

Connect each RJ-45 plug to the corresponding Ethernet port on your network devices such as switches, routers, or network interface cards. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain bend radii recommended by the equipment or cable manufacturer to preserve signal performance. For optimal shielding effectiveness, ensure metal chassis or patch panel terminations provide proper grounding when installed in rack or structured cabling systems.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short, high-speed connections where robust shielding is needed. Avoid running the cable in parallel with large power lines to minimize potential interference and keep the jacket free from excessive tension or kinks. Verify device and infrastructure compatibility with Cat8.1 characteristics to achieve expected performance.
