Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41051 blauw 5m Cat8.1 F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41051 Blue 5m Cat8.1 F/FTP networking cable provides a high-performance wired connection for modern networks. Compliant with the Cat8.1 standard and featuring F/FTP shielding, this 5-metre cable is designed to deliver reliable, high-speed data transfer using RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts. The cable’s blue jacket offers easy visual identification within patch panels and structured cabling installations.

Advantages

Cat8.1 specification and full foil plus individually shielded pairs (F/FTP) construction reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, helping to maintain signal integrity at high frequencies. The cable supports very high data rates and low latency suitable for demanding applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide improved contact reliability and corrosion resistance for long-term stable performance. A 5-metre length balances reach and minimal signal attenuation for typical desk-to-switch or rack-to-rack connections.

Suitable for

• High-speed LAN backbones and switch-to-switch connections
• Data centre patching and rack interconnections
• High-bandwidth workstations, servers and NAS devices
• Latency-sensitive applications such as gaming and real-time streaming
• Environments requiring enhanced EMI protection

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Maximum data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Color: blue

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network interface of your device and the other end to a compatible switch, router or patch panel port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and latched to establish a secure physical connection. When routing the cable, avoid tight bends and sharp edges that could damage the internal pairs or shielding. For installations in dense cable bundles, maintain separation from high-voltage power lines where possible to reduce potential interference.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable in short to medium length links within data centres, server rooms and professional workspaces. Verify that both endpoints support high-speed Ethernet to achieve the specified data rates, and inspect connectors periodically for secure mating and cleanliness.
