Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41055-2 Cat8.1 5 m F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41055-2 Cat8.1 5m F/FTP networking cable is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for demanding wired connections. It supports Category 8.1 transmission characteristics and uses F/FTP shielding (overall foil with individually foil-screened pairs) to minimize crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. Both ends are terminated with standard RJ-45 connectors and the 5 m length provides flexibility for routing between devices in home, office, or professional network racks.

Advantages

The F/FTP construction improves signal integrity by combining an overall foil shield with individually shielded twisted pairs, which reduces pair-to-pair crosstalk and helps maintain stable high-frequency performance. Cat8.1 specification enables higher bandwidth and lower latency compared with lower-category cables, making this cable suitable for applications that require reliable, high-speed data transfer. The 5 m length and standard RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with common switches, routers, network interface cards, and patch panels.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet links in home and small office networks
• Gaming and low-latency online activities
• Streaming high-resolution audio and video
• Server rack patching and professional networking setups
• Workstations and networked storage requiring stable wired connections

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1 performance class
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Length: 5 metres
• Suitable frequency range: designed for high-frequency data transmission typical of Cat8.1 cabling

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (switch, router, NAS, PC) and the other end to the corresponding port on the second device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until you hear the locking tab engage. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends, tight kinks, and sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as large transformers or unshielded power cables. For rack installations, secure the cable with appropriate cable management to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short runs where high bandwidth and low latency are required. For best results maintain gentle bend radii, avoid stapling or crushing the cable, and pair with compatible shielded network equipment to preserve the benefits of the shielding.
