Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41065-4 Cat8.1 7,5 m F/FTP zwart

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41065-4 Cat8.1 7.5m F/FTP Black is a high-performance networking cable designed for demanding wired network environments. Complying with the Cat8.1 standard and equipped with F/FTP shielding, this 7.5 metre cable uses RJ-45 connectors to support reliable, low-interference data transmission between routers, switches, servers and networked devices. The cable's construction and shielding aim to maintain signal integrity at high frequencies and in installations where electromagnetic interference may be present.

Advantages

This Cat8.1 cable offers enhanced bandwidth and improved crosstalk protection compared with lower category cables, enabling faster and more stable connections for high-throughput applications. The F/FTP shielding provides both overall foil coverage and individually shielded twisted pairs to reduce external electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk. The 7.5 m length balances reach and manageability for typical rack-to-desk or equipment-to-equipment runs, while standard RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with common networking hardware.

Suitable for

• High-speed data centers and server rooms
• Backbone links and switch-to-switch connections
• Workstation connections requiring low latency and high bandwidth
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference (near power supplies or industrial equipment)

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Length: 7.5 metres
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 terminated
• Color: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network source (router, switch or patch panel) and the other end to the destination device (server, workstation or networked appliance). Ensure connectors are fully inserted and secured in the ports. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile stress; maintain bend radius recommended for twisted-pair cables to preserve performance. For rack installations, use appropriate cable management to prevent strain on the terminations.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short to medium-length high-bandwidth links within structured cabling systems. Avoid running parallel to high-voltage power lines where possible; if crossing is necessary, do so at right angles. Verify that connected network equipment supports the desired speeds and frequencies to take full advantage of the cable's capabilities.
