Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41070-2 10m Cat8.1 F/FTP grijs

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41070-2 10m Cat8.1 F/FTP Grey is a high-performance network patch cable engineered for demanding wired Ethernet applications. It complies with Cat8.1 cabling standards and uses F/FTP shielding to minimise electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while RJ-45 terminations on both ends allow compatibility with standard network ports. The 10 metre length offers flexibility for connecting switches, routers, patch panels and network devices in server rooms, offices and home networks.

Advantages

Category 8.1 specification supports higher bandwidth and improved signal integrity compared with lower category cables. F/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually foil-shielded pairs to reduce external noise and pair-to-pair interference. Standard RJ-45 connectors ensure broad device compatibility and straightforward installation. The grey outer sheath provides a neutral appearance suitable for visible cable runs.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet links between switches and routers
• Short-run connections in server cabinets and rack-mounted equipment
• Workstation-to-wall outlet or patch panel connections
• Home network backbones requiring improved noise immunity

Key specifications

• Length: 10 metres
• Category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network port of your switch, router, patch panel or network appliance and the other connector to the destination device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and latched to establish a secure physical connection. For optimum performance, avoid sharp bends, excessive twisting and proximity to strong electromagnetic sources. When used in shielded installations, confirm that both devices and any patch panels support or are properly grounded for shielded cabling.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short to medium runs where high bandwidth and reduced interference are required; maintain gentle cable bends (minimum bend radius per manufacturer guidance) and secure routing in racks or conduits to preserve signal quality and cable lifespan.
