Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41154-2 1,5 m Cat8.1 F/FTP rood

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41154-2 1.5m Cat8.1 F/FTP Red is a high-performance networking cable designed for demanding data environments. Built to the Cat8.1 standard with F/FTP shielding and equipped with RJ-45 connectors plated with copper, this 1.5 metre cable supports very high data rates and reduced interference for reliable wired connections. The red jacket provides easy visual identification in patch panels and structured cabling setups.

Advantages

F/FTP shielding (foil around pairs plus overall braid) minimizes electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity in crowded installations. The Cat8.1 standard enables support for multi-gigabit and short-range high-speed links, while copper-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure consistent contact and low insertion loss. The 1.5 m length suits rack-to-equipment connections without excess slack, and the colored jacket simplifies cable management.

Suitable for

• Patch panel to switch connections in data centres and server rooms
• High-speed home or office networking where short runs are required
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference (near power lines or dense cabling)
• Structured cabling where visual identification and colour-coding are used

Key specifications

• Standard: Category 8.1 (Cat8.1)
• Shielding: F/FTP (foiled twisted pairs with overall braid)
• Length: 1.5 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 with copper-plated contacts
• Colour: Red jacket for easy identification
• Typical use: Short-range, high-bandwidth Ethernet connections

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network device (switch, router, NIC or patch panel) and the other end to the corresponding port on the paired device. Ensure connectors are fully seated and the latches click into place to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it clear of high-voltage power lines where possible. For best performance, use this cable for short, high-bandwidth links as specified by the Cat8.1 standard.

Recommendations

Use the cable in shielded installations or connect both ends to properly grounded equipment to maximise EMI protection. Avoid excessive bending radius and mechanical strain on the RJ-45 connectors. For longer runs or different installation needs select an appropriate cable length or category to match distance and performance requirements.
