Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-44055 5m Cat8.1 F/FTP zwart

The ShiverPeaks BS08-44055 5m Cat8.1 F/FTP Black is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed to support demanding network environments. Built to the Cat8.1 standard with F/FTP shielding, this 5-meter cable uses RJ-45 connectors on both ends to provide a reliable physical interface for switches, routers, network cards, and patch panels. The black outer jacket offers a neutral, unobtrusive appearance suitable for home offices, server rooms, and structured cabling installations.

Advantages

Cat8.1 specification and F/FTP shielding reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, enabling high-speed data transmission with improved signal integrity. The 5 m length offers a balance between flexibility and reach for typical equipment layouts. Terminated with standard RJ-45 plugs, the cable is compatible with a wide range of Ethernet devices and supports backward compatibility with lower-category networks.

Suitable for

• High-speed local area networks in home or small office environments
• Direct connections between network switches, routers, and servers
• Structured patching in server cabinets and network racks
• Short- to medium-length runs where shielding against interference is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: F/FTP (foil overall with individually foiled pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Length: 5 meters
• Color: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network port on your router, switch, or network device and the opposite RJ-45 plug to the target device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until they click for a secure physical connection. When planning cable runs, avoid sharp bends and excessive compression to maintain shielding integrity and signal performance. For installations in racks or trays, secure the cable with appropriate ties or guides to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short to medium runs where high bandwidth and reduced interference are required. For optimal performance, pair the cable with compatible shielded network equipment and maintain proper grounding in installations that use shielded cabling.
