Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-86031003 S/FTP Cat8.2 100 m groen

The ShiverPeaks BS08-86031003 S/FTP Cat8.2 networking cable is a 100 m bulk cable engineered for high-speed data transmission up to 40000 Mbit/s. Constructed to Cat8.2 specification with S/FTP (S‑STP) shielding, this green cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk in dense cabling environments. It is supplied without pre-attached connectors to allow custom termination for structured cabling and data center installations where high bandwidth and shielding integrity are required.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding design provides enhanced protection against external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, supporting stable high-frequency signal transmission. Cat8.2 compliance ensures suitability for 25G and 40G Ethernet links as well as future-proofing for demanding LAN backbones. The 100 m length offers flexibility for longer runs in server rooms, comms cabinets, or between floors while the plain conductor format permits custom RJ45 or other connector terminations to match specific installation needs.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet backbone connections (25G/40G)
• Data center and server room cabling
• Structured cabling installations requiring shielded cables
• Custom termination where connectors are fitted on-site

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.2
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded pairs)
• Maximum data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Length: 100 m
• Colour: Green
• Conductor format: bulk cable without pre-attached connectors

How to use

Measure and plan the cable route to avoid sources of strong electromagnetic noise where possible. Cut the required length and terminate the cable with appropriate shielded connectors or keystone jacks compatible with Cat8.2 performance, ensuring proper grounding of the overall braid and pair shields. Use recommended cable management tools and techniques to maintain bend radius and avoid excessive pulling force. After installation, verify link performance with a qualified cable tester supporting Cat8 specifications.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, install this Cat8.2 S/FTP cable in shielded environments and connect shields to grounded points at patch panels or racks. Maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radius and avoid sharp bends. Use certified Cat8 termination components and test each link after installation to confirm bandwidth and shielding integrity.
