Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75210-50 grijs 50m Cat5e F/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75210-50 Grey 50m Cat5e F/UTP is a 50-metre networking cable built to support reliable Ethernet connections in home and office environments. Compliant with Cat5e performance parameters and equipped with F/UTP shielding, this cable is intended to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain stable data transmission across typical twisted-pair network setups. Its neutral grey outer jacket provides a discreet installation appearance for wall runs, patching, or structured cabling.

Advantages

The F/UTP construction offers an overall foil shield around the twisted pairs to limit external noise while retaining the flexibility of stranded or solid conductors for ease of routing and termination. As a Cat5e-class cable, it supports up to gigabit Ethernet speeds over appropriate link lengths and network equipment. The 50-metre length reduces the need for splices in medium-length runs and simplifies deployment where a single continuous run is required.

Suitable for

• Ethernet LAN connections in homes and small offices
• Connecting switches, routers, and patch panels within the same floor
• Structured cabling where reduced electromagnetic interference is desirable
• Temporary setups or permanent installations requiring a 50 m cable length

Key specifications

• Category: Cat5e performance class
• Shielding: F/UTP (overall foil shield around unshielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 50 metres
• Color: Grey outer jacket
• Applications: Ethernet, PoE (subject to device and power class limits)
• Conductor type: twisted-pair copper conductors (as per Cat5e standard)

How to use

Measure the required route and run the 50 m cable avoiding tight bends and sources of high interference when possible. Terminate the cable ends with appropriate RJ45 connectors or patch panel ports following Cat5e termination techniques, taking care to maintain pair order and untwisting to a minimal length. Test the installed link using a network tester to verify continuity, pair mapping, and acceptable performance for the intended data rates.

Recommendations

For best results, keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines and large electrical equipment to minimize interference. Use shielded connectors or properly grounded patch panels when integrating with shielded infrastructure to ensure the shield continuity and effective EMI reduction.
