Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75227 25 m Cat5e SF/UTP (S-FTP) RJ-45 grijs

ShiverPeaks BS75227 is a 25 m Cat5e Ethernet cable with SF/UTP (S-FTP) shielding and RJ-45 connectors on both ends. The cable is intended for wired network connections in home, office, and small business environments. Its grey outer jacket provides discrete routing while the combination of foil and braided shielding reduces electromagnetic interference to maintain stable data transmission consistent with Cat5e performance.

Advantages

The SF/UTP (S-FTP) design combines an overall foil shield with individual braided shielding to protect pairs from external noise and crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with potential interference. With standard RJ-45 terminations, the cable supports straightforward plug-and-play installation into network devices. The 25 m length offers flexibility for cable runs between rooms or across small office spaces while the grey jacket provides a neutral appearance that blends into typical interiors.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections for desktop computers and networked peripherals
• Connecting routers, switches, and patch panels within homes or small offices
• Temporary or semi-permanent cabling where 25 m reach is required
• Environments requiring enhanced shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat5e (meets Cat5e performance for up to 100 Mbps/1 Gbps typical use cases)
• Shielding: SF/UTP (overall foil with braided drain / S-FTP style shielding)
• Length: 25 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends (8P8C compatible)
• Jacket colour: Grey
• Conductor: Twisted pair copper (solid or stranded construction as typical for Ethernet patch/installation cables)

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector at each end into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices, such as a router, switch, computer, or networked peripheral. For optimal signal performance, avoid sharp bends, kinks, or excessive tension along the 25 m run and route the cable away from large electrical appliances or power cables where possible. Ensure connectors are fully seated until a click is felt and verify link/activity LEDs on devices to confirm a successful connection.

Recommendations

For reliable network operation, use the cable for Cat5e-rated applications and avoid running it parallel to power lines for extended distances. When installing in permanent or wall-mounted setups, follow local building codes and consider using designed installation clips or conduits to protect the jacket. For environments with very high bandwidth demands, consider higher-category cables (Cat6 or Cat6a) if supported by your equipment.
