Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75512-V 2m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75512-V 2m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable provides a high-performance wired connection for devices that require stable, high-speed data transfer. This 2-metre cable uses Cat7 specification with S/FTP (screened foil-twisted pair) shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Both ends feature RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance. The cable's violet jacket offers an easily identifiable colour for organised installations in home or small office networks.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall braided shield with individually foil-shielded pairs, offering enhanced protection against external noise sources compared with unshielded or partially shielded cables. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts support reliable signal transfer and long-term durability. The 2 m length balances reach and cable management, making it suitable for connecting routers, switches, PCs and networked consoles without excess slack. The Cat7 rating supports higher bandwidth and improved performance for applications requiring stable throughput.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, game consoles or media players to a router or switch
• Home or small office networks where reduced interference is required
• High-bandwidth activities such as online gaming and 4K streaming
• Patch panels and short-run connections within network racks or cabinets

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (braided overall shield + foil per pair)
• Length: 2 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Outer jacket colour: Violet
• Suitable transmission: High-speed Ethernet applications

How to use

Insert one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your router, switch, or modem and the other connector into the Ethernet port of your computer, console or other network device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to guarantee a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible to maintain optimal signal integrity.

Recommendations

For best results, use the cable for short to medium runs where shielding benefits are required: between network equipment in the same room, to patch panels, or for direct device connections. Avoid tight cable coils and excessive pulling force. If connecting through metal conduits or near heavy electrical equipment, verify connector fit and test link speed after installation.
