Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75512-Y-SET5 2m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75512-Y-SET5 2m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is designed for reliable wired connections in home, office, and data center environments. This 2-meter cable supports Gigabit and multi-gigabit networks through Cat7 performance, while S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference for stable data transmission. The cable terminates in RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain signal integrity and resist corrosion. Its bright yellow jacket improves visibility and makes cable routing and identification easier in complex installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to minimize crosstalk and external interference, improving signal quality for high-speed transfers. The RJ-45 connectors feature gold-plated contacts to ensure low contact resistance and longer connector life. The 2 m length offers convenient reach for patching between switches, routers, patch panels, and network devices without excess cable slack. The durable jacket provides mechanical protection and the distinctive yellow color aids quick identification among multiple cables.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, servers, and workstations to switches or routers
• Patching between rack-mounted devices and patch panels
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, VoIP, and online gaming
• Temporary setups, demos, and network testing where visibility matters

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7 performance suitable for Gigabit and multi-gigabit Ethernet
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield + individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 2 meters
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: Yellow for high visibility

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (switch, router, or NIC) and the other end to the corresponding port on the destination device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Avoid sharp bends and kinks in the cable path; maintain a gentle bend radius and keep the cable away from strong EMI sources where possible. For rack installations, use cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors and maintain tidy routing.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat7 S/FTP cable in shielded or mixed environments and pair it with compatible shielded equipment. When running multiple cables, label both ends to simplify future maintenance and troubleshooting.
