Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75515-B-SET5 5m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75515-B-SET5 5m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is designed for high-speed data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference in wired networks. The cable supports Category 7 performance, uses S/FTP shielding to protect individual pairs and the overall cable from crosstalk and external noise, and is fitted with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain reliable conductivity and resist corrosion. The blue jacket provides visual identification in structured cabling installations and home networks.

Advantages

This Cat7 S/FTP cable offers improved signal integrity and lower interference compared with unshielded or lower-category cables, making it suitable for demanding network environments. The gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance contact reliability and reduce contact resistance over time. Its 5-meter length provides flexibility for desktop, rack, and patch panel connections without excessive slack. The durable outer sheath helps protect the internal conductors from mechanical wear.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, switches and routers within offices and home networks
• Patch panels and rack-mounted equipment in server rooms
• High-bandwidth applications such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet (within Cat7 parameters)
• Stable wired connections for streaming, gaming and large file transfers

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 5 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Color: Blue

How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the RJ-45 port of your network device (such as a router, switch or network card) and the other end to the corresponding port on the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference for optimal performance. For permanent installations, verify that cable length and routing meet local cabling best practices and standards.

Recommendations

For best results, use the cable in shielded or mixed environments where reduced crosstalk and external interference matter. Avoid kinking the cable and maintain bend radii recommended for Ethernet cabling. When connecting to devices rated below Cat7, the cable will operate at the highest mutually supported specification.
