Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75515-SET5 5m Cat7 S/FTP grijs

The ShiverPeaks BS75515-SET5 5m Cat7 S/FTP Grey is a high-performance networking cable designed for wired Ethernet connections up to 5 metres. This Cat7 cable uses S/FTP shielding to minimise electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and features gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for reliable signal transmission and long-term durability. The neutral grey jacket provides a discreet appearance suitable for residential and professional environments.

Advantages

Engineered to Cat7 specifications, the cable supports higher frequency transmission and improved noise immunity compared with lower-category cables. The S/FTP construction combines an overall shield with individually shielded pairs, delivering consistent performance in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs reduce oxidation and maintain stable contacts, while the 5-metre length allows flexible placement of devices without signal repeaters.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections between routers, switches and end devices
• High-bandwidth applications such as HD streaming, online gaming and large file transfers
• Office and home network installations requiring reduced interference
• Patch panels and structured cabling in small server rooms or media cabinets

Key specifications

• Length: 5 m
• Category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shield + individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the RJ-45 port of your networking device (router, switch, modem or network card) and the other end to the corresponding device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and exposure to strong electromagnetic sources; avoid excessive pulling or kinking. For structured installations, label both ends to simplify future maintenance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat7 S/FTP cable in shielded or mixed-equipment environments where reduced interference is important. Keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines and maintain bend radius recommendations from networking equipment manufacturers.
