Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75711-A0 0,15 m Cat6a S/FTP grijs

The ShiverPeaks BS75711-A0 0.15m Cat6a S/FTP Grey is a short patch cable designed for high-speed network links where space is limited. It uses Cat6a category wiring with S/FTP shielding and standard RJ-45 connectors on both ends to provide stable Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections over a compact 15 cm length. The grey jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for patch panels, switch-to-switch connections, or equipment jumpers in racks and home offices.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding reduces crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, improving signal integrity in congested cabling environments. The Cat6a specification supports higher frequencies and better pair-to-pair performance compared with lower categories. The short 0.15 m length minimizes excess cable slack and helps maintain tidy cable management in dense installations.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between network equipment in racks and patch panels
• Direct device-to-device links where minimal cable length is required
• High-speed Ethernet applications up to Cat6a performance
• Environments with potential interference where shielded cables are preferred

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 0.15 m (15 cm)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Color: Grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network port of a switch, router or patch panel and the other plug to the corresponding device port. Ensure plugs are fully inserted until the latch clicks and verify link/activity LEDs on the devices to confirm an active connection. Due to its short length, the cable is intended for direct patching in close-proximity setups rather than long runs.

Recommendations

Use the cable for intra-rack or short inter-device connections where Cat6a performance and shielding are needed. Avoid bending the cable sharply at the connectors and do not use it for distances exceeding typical patch-length applications. For runs requiring flexibility around tight corners, allow gentle radii and maintain separation from strong power sources for optimal signal quality.
