Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75711-H-SET5 1m Cat6 S/FTP grijs

The ShiverPeaks BS75711-H-SET5 1m Cat6 S/FTP grey networking cable is a short-length Ethernet cable designed to support Gigabit networks and reliable wired connections. Constructed to Cat6 specification with S/FTP shielding and shipped with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts, this 1 metre cable is suited for linking devices where reduced electromagnetic interference and consistent data transmission are required.

Advantages

The S/FTP design combines an overall screened braid with individually foil-shielded pairs to reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, helping maintain signal integrity at higher data rates. Gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 plugs improve corrosion resistance and electrical contact reliability. The 1 m length reduces cable slack in compact setups and the grey jacket provides a neutral appearance for mixed home and office environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop computer or laptop to a local router or switch in near-desk setups
• Short runs between network equipment in rack cabinets or small office workstations
• Connecting VoIP phones, media players, or network printers where a tidy, short cable is preferred
• Temporary or permanent wired connections in home offices and small business environments

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance suitable for Gigabit Ethernet
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braided screen plus individually foil-shielded pairs
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 1 metre
• Jacket colour: Grey
• Conductor configuration: 4 twisted pairs, 8 conductors

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices until the latch clicks. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and kinks in the cable and keep it separated from sources of electrical noise where possible. The cable can be routed through cable management channels or under desks to minimise visible wiring. No additional software or configuration is required; the cable provides a physical link for Ethernet-capable devices and will work with standard network settings.

Recommendations

Use this 1 m Cat6 S/FTP cable for short, high-quality connections where shielding is beneficial. For longer runs or for environments with extremely high interference, consider using longer Cat6 or higher-category cables and ensure proper grounding of shielded network equipment.
