Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75711-H0.25S 0,25m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75711-H0.25S 0.25m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable is a short patch lead designed for reliable Ethernet connections where minimal length is required. It conforms to the Cat6 performance class and uses S/FTP shielding — an overall foil shield with individually braided shields around each twisted pair — to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity in crowded cable environments. The cable is finished in black and terminated with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold for improved contact conductivity and resistance to corrosion.

Advantages

This Cat6 S/FTP cable offers enhanced protection against crosstalk and external interference compared with unshielded alternatives, making it suitable for installations near other electronic equipment or power lines. The gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide durable, low-resistance contacts for consistent data transfer. Its 0.25 m length minimises excess cable clutter and is convenient for short patching between adjacent ports in racks, patch panels, or desktop network devices.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between switch, router, patch panel, or network port
• High-density rack environments where cable length should be minimal
• Workstations or desktop setups requiring a tidy, short Ethernet lead
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where S/FTP shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance class
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall foil with individually braided pair shields
• Length: 0.25 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the source device (such as a switch or router) and the other end to the target device (such as a computer, patch panel or network jack). Ensure both connector latches click into place for a secure connection. Because the cable is only 0.25 m long, route it without tight bends or kinks to avoid stressing the conductors and maintain optimal performance. For shielded installations, ensure proper grounding of connected equipment if required by the site grounding practices.

Recommendations

Use this short Cat6 S/FTP cable for tidy, short-distance patching where reduced cable slack and improved interference protection are priorities. Avoid stretching or repeatedly bending the cable near the connectors to preserve the gold-plated contacts and internal shielding.
