Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75715 5m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75715 5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is designed to provide stable high-speed Ethernet connections for home and office environments. This 5-meter cable uses Cat6a specification and S/FTP shielding to support reliable data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference while featuring RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts for consistent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The grey jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for visible installations and tidy cable management.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to minimize crosstalk and external noise, improving signal integrity for demanding applications. The Cat6a rating supports higher bandwidth and better performance over longer runs compared with earlier categories. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts deliver stable electrical contact and enhanced durability. The 5 m length balances reach and tidiness for typical desktop, rack, or media equipment connections.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections between computers, switches, routers, and NAS devices
• Home and small-office networks requiring higher bandwidth and lower interference
• Connecting AV equipment, gaming consoles, and smart TVs to wired networks
• Patch panel or wall outlet patching in structured cabling within short to medium runs

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield plus individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 5 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: Grey
• Typical applications: Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet (within specified distances)

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device until it clicks to ensure a secure connection. Route the cable along desks, walls, or cable management channels to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension. Ensure both ends are fully inserted into the corresponding ports on switches, routers, or network interfaces. For installations near sources of strong electromagnetic noise, position the cable to take advantage of its shielding and avoid running it in parallel with power cables when possible.

Recommendations

Use the cable for local connections up to its 5 m length, and avoid kinking or crushing the cable to maintain shielding effectiveness. For optimal performance in high-speed networks, verify device compatibility with Cat6a specifications and secure proper grounding of connected equipment when used in shielded installations.
