Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75715-HR rood 5m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75715-HR Red 5m Cat6 S/FTP is a shielded Ethernet patch cable designed for stable Gigabit networking. Constructed with Category 6 twisted pairs and S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair) protection, the cable reduces crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference to support reliable data transfer. Fitted with standard RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts, the cable provides corrosion-resistant connections and consistent signal integrity over its 5 meter length. The red jacket offers clear visual identification in patch panels, racks or desktop environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding around each pair combined with an overall foil or braid helps maintain signal quality in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment. Cat6 performance supports higher data rates and better frequency response than older categories, making the cable suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and many demanding LAN applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts reduce oxidation and preserve contact reliability over repeated insertions. The 5 m length balances reach and cable management for typical desktop-to-switch or rack patching runs.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections in home and office networks
• Patch panel and switch-to-workstation cabling
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference
• Color-coded cable management and identification

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (individual pair foil with overall shield)
• Connector type: RJ-45 plug to RJ-45 plug
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Length: 5 metres
• Conductor arrangement: Twisted pair
• Outer jacket colour: Red

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the Ethernet port of your network switch, router or wall socket and the other end to your computer, access point or networked device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends, sharp edges and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. For best performance, maintain recommended bend radius and avoid kinking the cable.

Recommendations

For optimal network performance, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for runs up to 5 metres in length and pair it with Cat6-compatible hardware. When installing multiple cables in racks or conduits, separate power and data lines where possible to reduce potential interference. Regularly inspect connectors for debris and replace cables showing visible damage to the jacket or connectors.
