Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75717-A 7,5m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75717-A 7.5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable provides a durable, shielded connection for high-speed data transmission. Designed with S/FTP construction and RJ-45 connectors on both ends, the cable supports Cat6a performance parameters over a 7.5 metre length in a neutral grey jacket suitable for home, office or lab environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal stability in environments with multiple cables and electronic devices. The Cat6a wiring supports higher bandwidth and frequencies compared to earlier categories, enabling more reliable Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over the specified length. RJ-45 terminations provide broad compatibility with network switches, routers, patch panels and endpoint devices. The cable jacket and connector strain relief are built to withstand repeated insertion and routing.

Suitable for

• Ethernet connections between PCs, switches and routers in home and office networks
• Patch panel and cabinet interconnects in server rooms and network closets
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, large file transfers and VoIP
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference where shielded cabling is preferred

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 7.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Grey
• Supported data rates: up to 10 Gbps over appropriate distances

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network device (switch, router or network card) and the other connector to the corresponding device or patch panel. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and prolonged tension; maintain bend radii consistent with typical network cabling practices. For best performance, keep the cable separate from high-voltage power lines and sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible. If using in a rack or patch panel, allow slack for movement and ensure connectors seat fully in ports.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short to moderate runs up to the specified 7.5 m to preserve Cat6a performance. When installing multiple cables in close proximity, confirm proper grounding of shielded infrastructure components to benefit from S/FTP protection. Inspect connectors before use and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show physical damage.
