Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75717-AG 7,5 m Cat6a S/FTP groen

The ShiverPeaks BS75717-AG is a 7.5m Cat6a networking cable with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors at both ends. Designed for high-speed Ethernet connections, this green cable supports reliable data transmission while reducing electromagnetic interference through its foil-wrapped pairs and overall braided shielding. Its Cat6a performance class makes it suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links and other demanding network environments where signal integrity is important.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides enhanced protection against crosstalk and external interference compared with unshielded or partially shielded cables. The Cat6a specification ensures support for higher bandwidth and frequencies required by modern network applications. Pre-terminated RJ-45 connectors on both ends offer immediate plug-and-play installation without the need for field termination. The 7.5m length balances reach and manageability for desktop, rack, and patching scenarios while the coloured sheath allows for straightforward cable identification in multi-cable installations.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in offices and data closets
• Patch cabling between switches, routers and patch panels
• High-performance workstations and servers requiring stable wired connections
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference where shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-wrapped pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45, pre-terminated
• Length: 7.5 m
• Colour: Green
• Intended use: Ethernet networking, patching, and point-to-point links

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding Ethernet ports of network devices such as switches, routers, network interface cards or patch panels. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of mechanical stress; maintain gentle curves with a bend radius appropriate for Cat6a cabling. If used in a rack or structured cabling environment, secure the cable with suitable cable management accessories without compressing the sheath or shielding.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable for links up to the specified length and avoid running it in parallel with high-voltage power lines. When installing in environments with significant electromagnetic interference, ensure both ends of the link are properly grounded if required by the overall installation. Label each end for easier maintenance and document its location within the network topology.
