Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75717-B 7,5 m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75717-B 7.5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable provides high-bandwidth wired connectivity for home and office networks. Built to Cat6a performance parameters, the cable supports higher data rates and improved signal integrity compared with lower-category cables. Shielding with an S/FTP construction reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while gold-plated RJ-45 connectors offer corrosion resistance and reliable contact. The 7.5 meter length accommodates typical room-to-room and equipment-to-switch connections, and the blue jacket provides clear visual identification in multi-cable environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to lower external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, improving performance in congested RF environments. The Cat6a specification supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet at appropriate channel lengths and maintains signal stability at higher frequencies. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors reduce contact oxidation and ensure consistent electrical connection over repeated insertions. The 7.5m length balances reach and signal quality for typical local installations.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections within the supported distance for Cat6a
• Wired home networks connecting routers, switches, NAS and PCs
• Office workstations, VoIP phones and networked printers
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a performance class
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 7.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts
• Color: Blue outer jacket
• Typical supported use: up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet at defined channel distances

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to your network device (router, switch, or PC) and the other connector to the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends, kinks and sources of strong EMI such as large transformers or unshielded power runs; maintain gentle bend radii to preserve internal pair geometry. For permanent installations, verify link speed and signal quality after connection using device status indicators or network testing tools.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid bundling this S/FTP cable tightly with multiple power cables and maintain separation from strong electrical noise sources. Confirm that connected equipment and patch panels support Cat6a parameters and 10 Gigabit operation if that throughput is required. When running longer distances beyond the cable length, plan for intermediate switches or fiber solutions to preserve network speed.
