Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75717-HB 7,5 m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75717-HB 7.5m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable provides a reliable wired connection for home, office, and professional network environments. This Cat6 cable supports higher bandwidths and improved signal integrity compared with lower-category cables. The S/FTP (Screened Foiled Twisted Pair) construction reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, helping to maintain stable data transfer over the full 7.5 meter length. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts, the cable is designed for reliable mating with network ports and extended contact life. The blue jacket offers a visible, color-coded option for structured cabling and easy identification.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding provides both an overall screen and individual foil around each twisted pair to lower interference from nearby cables and electronic devices. Cat6 specification support enables improved performance for gigabit Ethernet and many modern networking tasks. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance corrosion resistance and ensure consistent electrical contact. The 7.5 meter length is suitable for mid-range point-to-point connections without excess slack. The cable jacket and connector strain relief are manufactured to withstand typical installation and frequent reconnections.

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Length: 7.5 metres
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall screen + foil around each pair)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contacts: gold-plated
• Jacket colour: blue

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network port of your device and the other to the switch, router, or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress near connectors; use cable ties or cable management accessories to maintain orderly runs and reduce strain. For rack or patch-panel use, leave a small service loop to prevent tension on terminations.

Recommendations

Use the cable for gigabit Ethernet and typical LAN applications where a shielded Cat6 cable reduces interference risk. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines for extended distances; cross power cables at right angles if unavoidable. Inspect connectors periodically for wear and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible damage.
