Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75717-HG groen 7,5m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75717-HG Green 7.5m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable provides a reliable physical connection for high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. Constructed to Cat6 performance standards and featuring S/FTP shielding, this 7.5 metre cable is intended for environments where reduced crosstalk and electromagnetic interference are important. The cable terminates in gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for stable contact and improved conductivity, and its green jacket helps with cable identification and neat routing within racks or workstations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil screen with individually shielded pairs to limit interference from external sources and between twisted pairs, supporting consistent signal integrity at Gigabit speeds. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs enhance contact reliability and resist corrosion over time. The 7.5 m length gives flexibility for mid-range connections without creating excessive slack, and the colored jacket simplifies organization in multi-cable installations.

Suitable for

• Wired Gigabit Ethernet connections between desktop PCs, switches and routers
• Home networks, small office networks and multimedia streaming setups
• Patch panel and wall outlet patching where shielded cabling is required
• Applications requiring visible cable identification or color-coded installations

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance class suitable for Gigabit Ethernet
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 7.5 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Conductor configuration: twisted pair cable designed for reduced crosstalk
• Jacket color: green for easy identification

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (switch, router or network interface on a PC) and the other end to the corresponding port on the remote device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference when possible. If installing into a structured cabling system, verify that the environment and terminations are compatible with shielded cabling practices and that grounding is performed where required.

Recommendations

Use the cable for Gigabit Ethernet and streaming applications where improved shielding is beneficial; avoid excessive mechanical stress and maintain proper grounding in shielded installations to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
