Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75720-AB blauw 10m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75720-AB Blue 10m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable provides a 10-metre connection solution designed for high-speed Ethernet networks. Built to Cat6a specifications with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction and fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this cable supports reliable data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference. The blue jacket offers a clear visual identifier for structured cabling in home or office environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding and Cat6a specification together deliver improved signal integrity and lower crosstalk compared with lower-category cables, making the cable suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over shorter distances. Its RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with standard network devices and switches. A 10-metre length provides flexibility in equipment placement while maintaining a tidy cable run. The colored outer jacket simplifies port identification and cable management in multi-cable installations.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting desktop computers, servers and network switches within an office or home network.
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, large file transfers and online gaming.
• Wiring within structured cabling systems where shielded pairs are preferred to reduce interference.
• Temporary or permanent connections between network devices where a 10 m reach is required.

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a (supports up to 10 Gbps depending on environment and equipment)
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 10 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Conductor type: twisted pair copper (solid or stranded variant typical for patch cables)
• Outer jacket colour: blue

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your computer, switch or router and connect the other end to the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive tension and sources of strong electrical interference. For permanent installations, secure the cable along pathways using appropriate clips or cable management accessories without compressing the jacket or shielding.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6a S/FTP cable with network devices that support higher data rates and maintain proper cable routing away from power cables and large electrical equipment. Test connections after installation with network testing tools if precise performance verification is required.
