Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75720-Y 10m Cat6a S/FTP geel

The ShiverPeaks BS75720-Y 10m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable provides a high-performance wired connection for data networks. Constructed to Cat6a specifications with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors plated in gold, this 10-metre cable is designed to support higher bandwidths and reduce external interference. The bright yellow jacket improves visibility in patch panels and cable runs, allowing easier identification and tidier installations.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to minimise crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, which helps maintain signal integrity at higher frequencies. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure consistent electrical contact and resist corrosion over time. The Cat6a construction supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over the full 10-metre length and meets the mechanical and electrical characteristics required for reliable performance in demanding environments. The flexible jacket and standard RJ-45 terminations make the cable compatible with common network equipment and simple to route through racks and conduits.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in home or office networks
• Server racks, patch panels and structured cabling systems
• Environments with high electromagnetic interference where shielded cables are preferred
• Visible cable runs where colour coding simplifies identification

Key specifications

• Length: 10 metres
• Category: Cat6a (augmented Cat6)
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall foil with individually shielded pairs
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Yellow
• Supported data rates: up to 10 Gbps (over suitable infrastructure)

How to use

Connect the RJ-45 plugs to the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices, switches, or patch panels ensuring the connectors are fully seated. Route the cable along appropriate cable management paths, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. For installations in areas with potential interference, ensure proper grounding of shielded infrastructure if required by your network design. Verify link status and speeds on connected equipment to confirm optimal performance.

Recommendations

Use the yellow ShiverPeaks Cat6a S/FTP cable for backbone links, short server-to-switch connections, or where visible colour coding improves maintenance. Avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines; maintain recommended bend radius and do not crush the cable to preserve signal performance.
