Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75730-HR rood 30 m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75730-HR Red 30m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable is a 30-metre Ethernet lead designed for high-speed wired networks. It uses Cat6 wiring standards and S/FTP shielding (screened foil-twisted pair) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts provide secure connections and improved conductivity. The cable’s durable outer jacket and visible red colour make it practical for organised installations in home or office environments where run identification and reliable performance are required.

Advantages

Shielding on each twisted pair plus an overall foil shield helps maintain signal integrity over longer runs and in environments with nearby electrical equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts reduce oxidation and ensure consistent contact resistance. The 30 m length covers medium to large rooms or connections between network closets and work areas without relying on additional patch panels. A flexible but robust outer jacket balances ease of routing and long-term durability.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections for desktop PCs and workstations
• Connecting switches, routers and network patch panels
• Structured cabling runs in home offices and small to medium business environments
• Visible cable runs where colour-coding is preferred for quick identification

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 (supports Gigabit Ethernet and typical Cat6 performance ranges)
• Shielding: S/FTP — individually foil-shielded twisted pairs with overall foil shield
• Connectors: RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 30 metres
• Cable colour: Red
• Jacket: durable, flexible outer sheath suitable for indoor installations

How to use

Route the cable between network endpoints, avoiding sharp bends and tight cable ties to preserve pair integrity and shielding. Ensure RJ-45 plugs are fully inserted into corresponding ports until they click to establish a secure connection. For fixed installations, label both ends to ease future maintenance and confirm the cable path does not run parallel to high-voltage power lines to minimise interference. Test the connection after installation with network diagnostic tools or the connected devices to verify link speed and stability.

For optimal performance maintain bend radius recommendations, avoid crushing or excessive tension, and use strain relief where the cable enters panels or patch panels. Periodically inspect connectors and the jacket for damage; replace the cable if shielding or conductors are compromised. In mixed-cable environments, use colour-coded runs to simplify troubleshooting and documentation.
