Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat. 6 0.5m

The ShiverPeaks Cat. 6 0.5m networking cable is a short patch lead designed for connecting network devices where a compact connection is needed. This U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair) Cat6 cable supports high-speed data transmission and terminates in RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts to maintain reliable conductivity. The cable is white and measures 0.5 meters, suitable for short-distance links between switches, routers, patch panels and networked equipment.

Advantages

The cable’s Cat. 6 specification provides improved bandwidth and reduced crosstalk compared with lower category cables while maintaining backward compatibility with Cat5e and common Ethernet standards. U/UTP construction offers a balance of cost-effectiveness and signal integrity for typical office and home environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance contact reliability and resist corrosion, helping to ensure consistent performance over repeated connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches and patch panels in server rooms or network cabinets
• Linking routers, modems and desktop computers for fast local connections
• Short patching runs behind desks, in media cabinets or within rack units
• Testing and troubleshooting network ports where a short, reliable cable is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Color: white

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 end into the network port of the source device (switch, router or patch panel) and the other end into the destination device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For best signal quality, avoid tight bends and kinks in the cable and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources. Use the 0.5 m length when a short, tidy connection is required to reduce cable clutter.

Recommendations

For optimum performance, use this ShiverPeaks Cat. 6 cable within its intended short-run applications and pair it with Cat6-compliant ports and equipment. Inspect connectors periodically for debris and replace the cable if physical damage or repeated connection issues occur.
