Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat. 6 10 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat. 6 10m networking cable is a 10-metre U/UTP Ethernet cable designed for reliable wired connections in home and office environments. Equipped with RJ-45 connectors with gold plating, this grey Cat6 cable supports high-speed data transfer and is suitable for Gigabit Ethernet networks. The cable construction follows Category 6 specifications to provide stable performance for network devices that require consistent bandwidth and low signal loss.

Advantages

This Cat. 6 cable provides improved transmission characteristics compared with lower-category cables, enabling higher data rates and lower crosstalk. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance conductivity and resist corrosion, supporting long-term stable connections. The 10 m length offers flexibility for typical room-to-room or desk-to-switch installations without excessive slack. The neutral grey jacket integrates unobtrusively into residential and commercial setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops and workstations to switches or routers
• Wired connections for VoIP phones and network printers
• Home network and small office LAN installations
• Connecting game consoles, smart TVs and media players to Ethernet

Key specifications

• Category: Cat. 6 (meets transmission requirements for typical Cat6 performance)
• Cable type: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with overall unshielded jacket)
• Length: 10 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 standard plug
• Connector contact finish: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Jacket colour: grey

How to use

Install the ShiverPeaks Cat. 6 cable by plugging the RJ-45 connectors into the Ethernet ports of your devices and network equipment. Ensure connectors click into place for a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp kinks; maintain gentle curves and avoid running parallel to high-voltage power lines to reduce interference. For wall-mounted sockets or patch panels, insert the connector fully into the corresponding port until it latches.

Recommendations

Use this Cat. 6 cable for permanent or temporary wired connections where Gigabit or high-speed Ethernet is required. For best performance, avoid extreme bending radii, protect exposed connectors from dust and moisture, and replace the cable if insulation or connectors become damaged. When installing in cramped cable bundles, verify the cable retains proper twisting to minimize crosstalk.
