Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat.7 U/FTP slank 0,5m

The ShiverPeaks Cat.7 U/FTP slim 0.5m networking cable is a short patch lead designed for high-speed data transmission in compact installations. With Category 7 performance and U/FTP shielding, the cable supports reliable signal transfer and reduced crosstalk and external interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide consistent contact quality and corrosion resistance. The slim jacket and 0.5 meter length make the cable suitable for tidy connections in patch panels, switches, routers or between closely placed network devices. The product is presented in blue and is intended for use where a short, shielded, high-performance Ethernet connection is required.

Advantages

The U/FTP construction offers individual foil shielding around each pair plus an overall unshielded braid configuration optimized for reduced electromagnetic interference and improved pair-to-pair isolation. Category 7 performance specification supports higher data rates and better headroom compared to lower categories when used within appropriate network equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve contact longevity and reduce oxidation-related signal loss. The slim cable profile simplifies routing in dense rack or desktop environments and reduces clutter while maintaining mechanical flexibility for small-radius connections.

Suitable for

• Short-distance Ethernet patching between network devices in server racks and office desks
• Connections in cramped spaces behind AV equipment, switches or patch panels
• Encrypted or sensitive installations where shielding reduces EMI risk
• High-speed local networks where Cat7 performance and shielding are preferred

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.7 performance class suitable for high-speed Ethernet
• Shielding: U/FTP (individually foiled pairs with overall unshielded braid design)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 0.5 m (short patch lead)
• Cable profile: slim, low-diameter jacket for tight routing
• Colour: blue

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding port on network devices until the latch clicks. Use the 0.5 m cable to create a direct patch between nearby switches, routers, patch panels or network interface ports. Ensure that both ends are properly seated and that cable bends do not exceed the recommended minimum bend radius for slim Ethernet cables to avoid internal conductor stress. For installation in shielded racks or near sources of interference, verify that connected equipment grounding and shielding practices are followed to maintain overall EMI protection.

Recommendations

Choose the ShiverPeaks Cat.7 U/FTP slim 0.5m cable when a short, shielded high-performance connection is required. Avoid tight kinks and prolonged mechanical strain; route the cable with gentle curves and keep it clear of high-power electrical cables to minimize potential interference. For maximum shielding effectiveness in environments with significant EMI, use this cable together with properly grounded shielded ports or shielded patch panels.
