Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 0,25 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 0.25m networking cable is a short patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission and secure signal integrity. With S/FTP shielding (shielded foil around individual pairs and an overall braided shield) and RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts, this 0.25 meter cable provides low-interference connectivity for network devices where space is limited or short links between equipment are required.

Advantages

The combination of S/FTP shielding and high-quality RJ-45 connectors reduces electromagnetic and crosstalk interference, supporting reliable Gigabit Ethernet and other high-bandwidth applications. The gold-plated contacts ensure consistent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The short 0.25m length minimises cable clutter and signal attenuation on short runs, while maintaining the performance characteristics expected from Cat6 cabling.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches to servers or patch panels in dense rack environments
• Short links between network devices such as routers, modems, and network cards
• Desk-side connections where excess cable length must be avoided
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded twisted pairs with overall braid)
• Length: 0.25 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contacts: gold-plated conductors
• Supported speeds: suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and comparable high-speed networks

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other connector into the corresponding port on your switch, patch panel, or router. Ensure connectors click into place for secure contact. Use the 0.25m cable for short point-to-point connections where minimal slack is desired. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force during installation to maintain shielding integrity and connector performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this cable for internal patching within racks or between closely located devices. Keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic noise and avoid tightly bundling with power cables. Inspect connectors periodically for secure seating and clean contacts if needed to preserve connection quality.
