Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 10 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 10m networking cable is a 10-metre Ethernet cable designed for stable, high-speed wired connections. It uses S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs) shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and is fitted with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to improve contact reliability and resist corrosion. The cable's bright yellow jacket simplifies identification in complex installations and helps with cable management.

Advantages

This cable's S/FTP construction offers enhanced noise immunity compared with unshielded alternatives, enabling more consistent throughput in environments with electrical interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provide reliable signal transmission and improved durability over repeated insertions. The 10 m length provides flexibility for routing between networking equipment and wall ports, while the durable outer jacket resists abrasion and handling during installation.

Suitable for

• Connecting routers, switches and patch panels in home and office networks
• Wired connections for desktop computers, NAS devices and media players
• Cabled links in small server rooms and network closets
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where shielded cable is preferred

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foiled pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 10 metres
• Colour: bright yellow
• Conductor type: stranded or solid copper (manufacturer default for patch cables is stranded for flexibility)

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device until it clicks securely into place. Route the cable carefully to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for Cat6 cables to preserve signal integrity. For patching between fixed wall jacks and active equipment, use the full 10 m length as needed and secure the cable with cable ties or clips to prevent movement. When unplugging, press the connector latch and pull the connector body rather than yanking the cable.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable in shielded or mixed environments where EMI or crosstalk may affect unshielded lines. Avoid routing alongside high-voltage power cables and maintain proper grounding for shielded installations where applicable.
