Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 2,0 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 2.0m networking cable is a 2-metre Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in home and office environments. It uses S/FTP (shielded with overall foil and individually shielded pairs) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity over its length. The cable terminates in gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for consistent contact and improved conductivity, and its red jacket provides a visible, easy-to-route option for structured cabling or desktop setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP design minimizes crosstalk and external interference, supporting stable performance in environments with multiple electronic devices. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors offer improved corrosion resistance and reliable electrical contact. The 2.0 m length is suitable for connecting nearby devices without excess cable slack, and the cable’s visible red color simplifies identification within a bundle of leads. Cat6 specification supports higher data rates and tighter performance margins compared with lower-category cables.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, routers, switches and network printers within home or small office layouts
• Short-run connections in rack or patch-panel setups where shielding helps reduce noise
• Gaming consoles, media players and streaming devices requiring low-latency wired links
• Temporary or permanent workstation cabling where color-coding simplifies management

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 2.0 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Red

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device until it clicks into place. Ensure both ends are securely connected to the corresponding ports on your router, switch or network device. For best performance, avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable and keep it clear of power lines and heavy machinery that can introduce electromagnetic interference. If using in a patch-panel or rack, route the cable with appropriate strain relief to prevent connector or jacket damage.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for short to medium length connections where shielding improves signal quality. Avoid running the cable parallel and close to mains power cables; instead, cross them at right angles when necessary. Replace the cable if connectors show corrosion or if internal damage is suspected after heavy bending or mechanical stress.
