Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 2,0 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 2.0m networking cable provides a 2-metre connection with S/FTP shielding designed to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity across Ethernet links. Equipped with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold, the cable aims to deliver consistent data transmission and contact reliability. The white jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for visible installations in homes and offices.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil with individually shielded pairs to minimise crosstalk and external noise, improving performance in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance corrosion resistance and help ensure stable electrical contact. The 2.0 m length balances reach and cable management for typical desk-to-switch or wall-port connections, while the Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidths and reliable gigabit networking.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops or network printers to a router or switch
• Home and small office wired Ethernet installations
• Patch panel to wall port or switch-to-switch short links within racks
• Environments where reduced interference and improved signal integrity are required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 2.0 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Outer jacket colour: White

How to use

Insert one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into the corresponding port on your router, switch or wall outlet until the connector latch clicks into place. Ensure both ends are fully inserted for reliable contact. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference; use cable clips or organisers to secure the cable along desks or walls and maintain a tidy installation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to mains power lines over long distances and maintain the recommended bend radius to prevent impairment of shielding and conductors. Test links after installation with network tools if precise throughput or certification is required.
