Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 2m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 2m networking cable is a 2‑metre Ethernet cable engineered for reliable high‑speed data transmission. It uses S/FTP shielding (overall braid plus individually foil‑shielded pairs) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and has RJ‑45 connectors with gold plating to improve contact reliability and conductivity. The cable’s Cat6 specification supports gigabit networks and is suitable for typical home and office installations where consistent wired performance is required. The cable is finished in green to help visually organize connections in multi‑cable environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding enhances signal integrity by protecting both the overall cable and each twisted pair against external interference. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 contacts deliver stable electrical connection and resist corrosion over time. The Cat6 rating provides a balance between bandwidth and backward compatibility with existing Ethernet equipment. The 2‑metre length offers flexibility for connecting devices at short to moderate distances without excess slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops, NAS or network printers to a router or switch
• Wired connections for streaming, online gaming, and video conferencing
• Office workstation cabling and small network patches
• Cable management setups where color‑coded wiring improves organization

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 Ethernet cable
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foil‑shielded pairs)
• Length: 2 metres
• Connectors: RJ‑45 plugs with gold plating
• Color: Green

How to use

Connect one RJ‑45 plug to the network port of your router, switch or modem and the other plug to the Ethernet port of your device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and prolonged compression; maintain gentle loops and avoid tight kinks to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. For patching in cabinets or behind desks, use cable ties or clips to secure the cable and prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable away from mains power lines and large electrical devices to minimise interference. When installing multiple cables, separate power and data cabling where possible and use color coding to simplify future maintenance.
