Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks RJ45/RJ45 Cat6 15 m

The ShiverPeaks RJ45/RJ45 Cat6 15m networking cable delivers a shielded connection designed for reliable high-speed data transmission over a 15-meter run. Constructed with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated contacts, this bright yellow cable reduces electromagnetic interference and helps maintain signal integrity for Ethernet networks, home offices, server racks, and multimedia systems.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding surrounds individually foil-wrapped pairs plus an overall braid, providing improved protection against crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference compared with unshielded cables. Gold-plated RJ45 contacts reduce oxidation at the connector interface and ensure lower contact resistance for stable throughput. The 15 m length offers flexibility in device placement while the high-visibility yellow jacket simplifies cable identification and routing in crowded installations.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet and high-speed LAN connections
• Home and office networking, including routers, switches and desktop PCs
• Server room patching and structured cabling runs up to 15 meters
• Multimedia streaming and online gaming where consistent throughput is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Connector type: RJ45 to RJ45
• Length: 15 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (foil on individual pairs + overall braided shield)
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: Bright yellow

How to use

Connect one RJ45 end to your network device (router, switch or network card) and the other end to the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted into the ports until a clear click is felt to establish a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Avoid tight bends near the connectors and do not subject the cable to crushing or excessive tension. For runs in shielded environments, bond the cable shielding according to your installation best practices to maintain the effectiveness of the S/FTP shielding.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, maintain bend radii larger than four times the cable diameter, keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines to reduce interference, and use suitable cable management (ties, ducts or trays) to prevent strain. When installing in mixed shielded/unshielded environments, verify proper grounding of the shield for maximum EMI protection.
