Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks RJ45/RJ45 Cat6a 7,5m zwart

The ShiverPeaks RJ45/RJ45 Cat6a 7.5m Black networking cable provides a 7.5-metre connection for high-speed Ethernet environments. Constructed to Cat6a standard with S/FTP shielding, the cable is designed to support higher bandwidths and reduce external electromagnetic interference. Black outer sheath and standard RJ-45 connectors offer compatibility with a wide range of network devices, making it suitable for structured cabling between computers, switches and routers in home and office networks.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding (overall foil with individually shielded pairs) improves immunity to crosstalk and external noise compared with unshielded cables, supporting stable transmissions at higher frequencies. Cat6a specification enables reliable 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance over typical installation lengths, while the 7.5 m length provides flexibility for desk, rack or wall-to-equipment routing. Standard RJ-45 connectors ensure plug-and-play compatibility with existing network equipment without adapters.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs and laptops to a router or switch
• Linking network switches in home or small office setups
• Connecting NAS devices, printers or media players to a local network
• Short to medium runs where 10 Gigabit capability and EMI protection are required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a (augmented Category 6)
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall foil with individually shielded pairs
• Length: 7.5 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45, 8P8C
• Color: Black outer sheath
• Performance: Suitable for up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet over recommended distances
• Conductor: Twisted pair, solid or stranded construction as per typical Cat6a cabling

How to use

Insert one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your computer, switch or router and the other end into the corresponding device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to establish a secure physical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive tension and proximity to power cables to preserve shielding effectiveness and maintain signal quality. For wall or rack installations, use appropriate cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bends (bend radius less than four times the cable diameter), and keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines to minimize interference. When deploying in an environment with many potential EMI sources, verify that connected devices and patch panels are properly grounded to complement the cable's shielding.
