Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks SP711-SL0.25S 0,25m Cat6 U/UTP zwart

The ShiverPeaks SP711-SL0.25S 0.25m Cat6 U/UTP Black is a short patch cable designed for high-speed Ethernet connections. This Cat6 cable uses U/UTP (unshielded overall, unshielded twisted pairs) construction and comes with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold to support stable signal transmission and reduce contact corrosion. At 0.25 meters length and a discreet black jacket, the cable is suited for close-proximity connections where a compact, reliable link is required.

Advantages

The short length minimizes excess cable clutter and signal attenuation between devices located close to one another. Cat6 performance supports gigabit Ethernet and improved crosstalk characteristics compared with earlier cable categories. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide better conductivity and long-term contact reliability. The black outer sheath offers a neutral appearance that blends into most networking environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting patch panels to network switches in rack or cabinet environments
• Linking desktop computers, servers or network devices located near each other
• Short patch runs in data centers, server rooms and home lab setups
• Replacing damaged short jumper cables in structured cabling systems

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Length: 0.25 m
• Shielding: U/UTP (overall unshielded, twisted pairs unshielded)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: black

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port on the devices to be connected until the latch clicks into place. Ensure both devices are powered on and configured for the intended network settings. For best performance, avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable and keep it clear of strong electromagnetic interference sources. If used in patch panels or switch ports, verify the port labels and link status LEDs to confirm a successful connection.

Recommendations

Use this short Cat6 cable for direct device-to-device links where minimal slack is required. For longer runs, select an appropriately rated Cat6 or higher cable at the needed length. Avoid placing the cable under mechanical stress and maintain bend radius guidelines to preserve signal integrity.
